Honeywell is looking for a Health Services Regional Director!

The Corporate Health, Safety, Environment & Remediation (HSE&R) department is responsible for partnering with Honeywell’s diverse businesses to develop and deploy health, safety and environmental strategies and programs. Management of the HSE function across Honeywell is based on a company-wide Management System that begins with Honeywell’s policy and formal Commitment to health, safety and the environment, and is reinforced by specific standards addressing our HS&E risks and requirements that are clearly communicated, regularly audited, and continually improved. Implementation of, and compliance with, the HSE Management System is led by our business and operations leadership and supported by the HS&E function.

The candidate filling this position will provide occupational health leadership and services to Honeywell’s varied businesses in the EMEA region as well as corporate program management across all regions.

•Lead and/or participate in HSE performance-based audits under the framework of Honeywell’s HSE Management System and partner with businesses to identify and implement actions that result from these assessments.
•In partnership with Honeywell’s businesses, lead development and implementation of a regional health services/HSE strategy.
•Provide health services leadership for the global Transportation Systems business: explain and interpret corporate policy, consult on health-related programs and medical monitoring and other exposure issues. Assist with health-related aspects of the Corporate HSE governance program including facility self-assessments and corrective actions.
•Provide Health Services consultation, support, and training to all business locations in the EMEA region as needed.
•As a member of the Corporate Health Services team, assist with the development and deployment of Honeywell’s corporate-level health services standards and company-wide health programs.
•Partner with the Honeywell’s businesses on regional due diligence and acquisition integration activities.
•Provide support to workforce health-related initiatives as requested to include absence management and worker fitness for duty policies.
•Demonstrate subject matter expertise with respect to EMEA regional health regulations.
•Partner with colleagues in the region to benchmark best practices in the delivery of health-services.
•Work with contracted vendor(s) to manage emergency support for travelers in the region.
•Participate on the region’s Crisis Emergency Management Team
•Assist businesses with hiring physicians and nurses throughout the region and developing overall health services capability across the businesses.

•Medical degree with emphasis in clinical medicine and completion of formal residency training or regional equivalent. Post Graduate (Residency/Fellowship) Occupational Medicine training preferred. Appropriate medical licensure/certification depending on country of origin. Three Years Occupational Medicine practice experience preferred. Demonstrates the willingness to learn new approaches and disciplines.
•Expertise in Toxicology preferred.
•Fluent in English. (Other languages preferred: German, French, Spanish)
•Demonstrated experience in the following areas: leading both management systems and compliance audits, working within an HSE management system, participating as the health resource in accident investigations and root cause analyses, applying six sigma or other continuous improvement tools to improve effectiveness and efficiency of health services programs and processes.
•Effective communicator: exceptionally strong influencer with demonstrated ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization to win credibility. Exceptional writing skills including the ability to develop clear, concise, useful management system standards.
•Intelligent risk taker: demonstrates good judgment and a strong ethical framework, allowing the individual to make correct decisions instinctively, balanced with an appreciation for the pressures which business people confront
•Leadership impact: demonstrated program, process, and team leadership. Able to set strategic direction and manage resources required for implementation. Creativity, energy, dependability and organizational skills that will enable successful management of multiple priorities. Viewed as a valued leader and expert resource by the businesses.

•Computer literacy, including usage of Internet, e-mail, word processing, presentation, and spreadsheet applications.
